Today is very/ hot./ In writing to New/ Bedford, you need not/ put any no. on the/ letter as I am unable/ to give you Mr. Scott’s/ number. I trust/ Will get up in due time/ Page 3 in the morning and gets/ his breakfast and goes /to the yard and attends/ to matters as occasion/ may require. I think/ I told him that Edward/ would get a saddle and/ that he could take the/ driving horse out occas/ -ionally but that he must/ not take the carriage/ out under any circum/ -stance.
